Build up your experience

Join us Thursday afternoons or Thursday Twilight (daylight saving) in a race with other similar Catamarans. A great way to build up some experience.

We are racing on our 38 foot 1160 cruising catamaran, she is powerful and fast – is she fast enough?

This afternoon is not structured but a chance for students to practice what they have learnt on other courses. The instructor will be with you at all stages, but will only be active when required, providing hints and reinforcing decision making. The rest is up to the team on the day.

We start at 2.00 pm winter and 4.30 pm (twilight series) at the Yeend Street Jetty in Mort Bay, Balmain.

Decisions on sail plan, reefing and strategy will be made on the way out, taking into account prevailing conditions. A senior instructor will be there to assist and advise, but the focus is having a fun time and to have students making key decisions.

Highly recommended for those wanting to gain some more experience.
